President Waheed to depart to Sri Lanka today

President Dr Mohamed Waheed will depart today, on an official visit to Sri Lanka, on the invitation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka. President Waheed will be accompanied by First Lady Madam Ilham Hussain.
During his visit, President Waheed will meet with President Rajapaksa and hold official talks between the Maldives and Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan President will host a state banquet in the honour of President Waheed.
President Waheed will also meet with the diplomatic community and major business leaders in Sri Lanka.
A Maldivian delegation of senior government officials and some local media will accompany the President on this visit.
