DSC achieves first place in the Professional Category in “Dhiraagu Broadband Road Race-2012”

MNDF Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) has achieved first place in the Professional Category in “Dhiraagu Broadband Road Race-2012”.
The event held at Male’ today evening, first place in Professional Category (men) was achieved by Lance Corporal Shifaz Mohamed of DSC and this is the 4th time he won the first place in the category consecutively. Moreover, the first place in Professional Category (women) was attained by Lance Corporal Aishath Guraisha of DSC. In addition to this, DSC team has achieved the top from the team event.
The second place and the third place in the Professional Category (men) was also attained by the DSC athlete Corporal Ahmed Hassan and Corporal Ya’qub Ahmed respectively.
The first place from the Amature Category (under 40 years) was attained by Private Haleemath Ahmed while the Amature Category (above 40 years) was attained by DSC athlete First Sergeant Ahmed Mumthaz Moosaa.
30 athletes from DSC participated in this year’s race. Dhiraagu’s Broadband Road Race is an annual event, much anticipated by participants and the public offering great prizes. This is the 6th consecutive year of the fun filled Dhiraagu Broadband Road Race and every year since 2009, the event is dedicated to create awareness for a social cause. This year’s run is dedicated to prevention of child abuse and domestic violence.
