President congratulates the Heir Apparent to the Saudi Throne

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has sent a congratulatory message to His Highness Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, following his appointment as Heir Apparent of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
President Waheed’s message to His Highness Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud reads as follows: “It gives me great pleasure to extend, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives and on that of my own behalf, warm congratulations and sincere felicitations to Your Highness on the propitious occasion of your appointment as the Heir Apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
“While I express my hope for further strengthening the brotherly relations and co-operation that so happily exist between our two countries, may I also take this opportunity to convey my personal best wishes for a long life in good health and happiness for Your Highness, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.”
