Only licensed preachers should give religious sermons and lectures: Islamic Ministry

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has said that only licensed preachers should give religious sermons and lectures.

The Ministry said that the Islamic Unity regulations state that the religious scholars should take a special permit from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to get the authorization to give public lectures.

“However, since some people are giving religious lectures and speaking about religious issues at different podiums without proper qualification and without license we urge all to respect the laws and regulations even in these matters,” the Ministry informed.
