Military stops guarding the Supreme Court

The military has stopped guarding the Supreme Court yesterday. It has been reported that the military guarding the Supreme Court stopped guarding the court, locked the court and took the keys with them.

However, the guards returned the keys claiming that they took the keys by mistake.

Miadhu News reported went near the Supreme Court at about 1:00 am and saw about four security guards on duty. The lock was opened and the main gate was wide open.

The media was informed that the lock was destroyed by a group of people who came on motorcycles.

The security of the Supreme Court were maintained by the Marinco and SPG of the military. The security guards were employed under SPG.

Colonel Abdurraheem said that he cannot give any more information regarding the incident because has not been informed of the details of the issue. However, he said that the military still provides security to the judges.

PPM Deputy Leader Umar Naseer claimed that the military returned the keys because some of the military officers refused to obey the unsoncsititonal orders of the President.
