Former President Nasheed disappointed with India

Maldives former President Mohamed Nasheed has said yesterday he was disappointed with India over its response to the political turmoil without having properly understood the ground situation in the country. 44 year old Nasheed who stepped down Tuesday making way to his Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed expressed his unhappiness over New Delhi’s reaching out to the new leadership.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had written to the new President Dr.Waheed on Wednesday expressing ” continued support” to the efforts to ensure stability and peace in the country.
Nasheed has said he has expressed his disappointment to Secretary External Affairs Ganapathi during a meeting in Male. Nasheed said the envoy will take what he said to the Prime Minister.
