Abdullah Jabir and other prominent figures join Jumhooree Party

Abdullah Jabir, Kuva Mohodhey, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Nolhivaram constituency Vice President Hussein, MDP activist Dhunmari Nazim and other prominent figures have joined the opposition Jumhooree Party.

Jabir joined Jumhooree Party with many of his family members and his employees. He said that he urge everyone who supports him to join Jumhooree Party.

Jabir said that he will contest for the Kashidhoo seat in the Peoples’ Majlis if it gets vacant. He said that he had earlier campaigned for and that during this campaign MDP gained many members through him. He called these members of the ruling party to follow him and join the opposition Jumhooree Party.

Explaining the reason for his switching of parties from the ruling MDP to opposition Jumhooree, Jabir said that he doesn’t accept the illegal arrests of individuals and specially judges.

Famous politician, Mohamed Yoosuf (Kuva Mohodhey) also joined the Jumhooree party. He said that the country needs a change.
