Two apprehended with stolen money

Two people have been apprehended with allegedly stolen money worth more than Mrf. 500,000.

They were apprehended last week at the scene where they were attempting to break down an allegedly stolen safe. Police recovered more than Mrf. 500,000, large amount of US dollars, and also bank cheques from the scene.

The latest news of these findings is that this safe belongs to Galaxy Enterprises in Boduthakurufaanumagu. The company reported that they had been broken into and that their safe had been stolen.

This case is being investigated by the Property and Commercial Crime Department of Maldives Police Service.
