Police has seized thousands of counterfeit dollars in a police raid.

The raids targeted Lhaviyani Hinnavaru Hussain Ali and found fake dollars with the same serial number in a room in M.A Kulhafilaage.

Counterfiet $248300 were seized from the scene. Hussain Ali was charged with forgery and is now held in custody for investigation.

Furthermore, in 1^st September, Police arrested thousands of counterfeit US dollars and Maldivian Ruffiya. Two men were arrested on charges of forgery.
