Police arrest 3 prostitutes in beauty parlour

Police have arrested three Thai prostitutes after they allegedly had sex with several Maldivians.
The three Thai women working at beauty parlor located behind Iskandhar School were taken in during a special operation conducted by Police on the 17 August.
When Miadhu asked the police for the reason of not taking the owners of such places to account, Police media official said that their duty was to investigate such cases and report them to the authority. He added that it was not them who will file the case to the court but the Prosecutor General.
From five months back Miadhu is trying to check in with the Ministry of Health if the massage parlours which are registered as health clinics fit into the guidelines of the ministry. There has been no reply so far from the ministry.
Elsewhere, it is alleged that the president of Male’ Municipality saying that “Male’ is not Male’ if there are no places for prostitution.”
