Municipality sells the last land plot from south west harbour

Male’ Municipality has sold the last land plot of the South West Harbour to Universal Enterprises for Rf46.5 million.

According to Municipality, the land plot sold to Universal was sold at a rate of Rf6,200 per square feet.
The municipality noted that the company should pay 10 percent of the price within seven days and the remaining should be paid within 60 days.

Meanwhile, opposition coalition decided to file a lawsuit against the Government’s plan to sell land plots in the capital Male. An official of the coalition formed among Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), Dhivehi Qaumee Party (DQP), Jumhooree Party and People’s Alliance (PA), said that selling lands by Male Municipality is against the Land Act.

Government received 119.7 million Rufiyyah for selling the four land plots.
