Municipality auctions South West Harbour land plots for second round

Male’ Municipality has opened bidding for the second round of the auction of South West Harbour land plots.

Male’ Municipality President Adam Maniku noted 19,000 SQ feet would be sold from the area in the second round.

He also said that in the second round there will be not much change to the auctioning system they have followed in the first round.

Meanwhile, opposition coalition decided to file a lawsuit against the Government’s plan to sell land plots in the capital Male. An official of the coalition formed among Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), Dhivehi Qaumee Party (DQP), Jumhooree Party and People’s Alliance (PA), said that selling lands by Male Municipality is against the Land Act.

Government received 119.7 million Rufiyyah for selling the four land plots.

The land which is being sold at south-west harbour is the plot between Kalhuthukkala Koshi and T-jetty according to Adam Maniku.
