Mariya congratulates Zahir for joining MDP

Ruling Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) chairperson and MP Mariya Ahmed Didi has congratulated Gahdhoo MP Zahir Adam for joining MDP.

MDP chairperson said that the government has always received the help of Zahir. She added that it is hoped that Zahir would contribute even more after signing to MDP.

Gahdhoo MP Zahir Adam joined ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) on Sunday night. After Zahir’s membership to MDP now there are 31 members currently represent MDP in the People’s Majlis.

Zahir said that he joined MDP as per the request of the people of his constituency.

“I have always supported the philosophy of the MDP ever since my election to the Majlis. I joined MDP as per the requests made by the citizenry of Gahdhoo,” said Zahir.

Furthermore, Zahir noted that he will not be bigoted towards MDP. He added that he works only with the spirit of the constituency he represents in the Majlis.
