Article Tools
Private TV Channel DhiTV has revealed to file a lawsuit against Sarangu Adam Manik, the President of Male’ Municipality for attacking DhiTV Cameraman on August 26
Adam Manik allegedly assaulted and snatched the camera while DhiTV was doing a coverage outside Male’ Municipality.
CEO of DhiTV, Yusuf Nawal said that Manik has behaved in a “very lowly” manner, and that a lawsuit will be lodged against the President of Male’ Municipality for the sake of the staffs of DhiTV.
He noted that it was not decided whether the lawsuit will be filed in Criminal Court or in Civil Court. Nawal added that DhiTV legal team will shortly decide it after evaluating the matter.
Manik attacked DhiTV staff Hussain Najah, while he was filming a dispute between Manik and Islamic Foundation of the Maldives, when Male’ Municipality removed banners which were inviting for a religious sermon.
