Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Coalition of NGOs has said that to allocate only 30 seats for the student entries in Arabiyyah School is not acceptable.

Speaking to Miadhu, the NGOs expressed their concern for the public complaints they have been receiving with regards to the allocation of only 30 seats for 2011 intake in Arabiyyah School.

NGOs also said that such a decision bars the public from getting Islamic Education.

Coalition of NGOs added that if this decision was made with regards to the current difficulty in space then “the government should decide on alternative ways until the new building is constructed.”

The NGOs also alleged that the Ministry of Education has been obstructing students from getting religious education by barring them from studying in the Arabic medium.

They also said that they are preparing work to raise their voice against the Ministry of Education in the boundaries of the constitution.
