President visits Nolhivaranfaru

President Mohamed Nasheed today visited Nolhivaranfaru during his ongoing visit to Upper North Province.
The President met with the people of Nolhivaranfaru, and discussed development projects planned for the island.
Highlighting the housing project in the island, the President said the government planned to relocate people from Maavaidhoo, Kunburudhoo and Faridhoo to the newly built houses in Nolhivaranfaru.
The President also spoke on the social protection system of the government.
During his visit to the island, President Nasheed inspected the housing project in the island.
Later in the afternoon, the President returned to Male’ concluding his visit to the Upper North Province.
