MBC to lodge case against MNBC

Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has said that the corporation will lodge a case against Maldives National Broadcasting Corporation (MNBC) in Civil Court this Sunday.

MBC said that the lawsuit will be filed to secure the assets, capital and staff of the state media channels.
MBC chairperson Ibrahim Umar Manik said in a press conference that Government refused to hand over the state TV and Radio MBC till now.
Elsewhere, Maldives Journalist Association showed their concern over Governments decision to not to hand over state TV and Radio to the newly formed Co-operation (MBC) by the Majlis.
