MDP will reset the country in its course after bringing looters to justice – Imthiaaz
Article Tools
Imthiaaz Fahumy, MP for Maafannu Uthuru has said that MDP will reset the Maldives on its course after bringing looters of the country for the past 30 years to justice.
Speaking at MDP Haruge yesterday he also said that he will provide his full cooperation to government to move ahead with its “caring governance”.
Imthiaaz also noted that MDP members would always be remembered in history as the party which fought for good governance in the country, despite having demonstrations three times a day.
Imthiaaz also said that there are people who have been looting the country shall be brought to justice and that the government is trying to do so.
He also noted that when people do things for the first time, criticism is natural, especially if you oust a dictatorial government.
MDP has continued its series of demonstrations yesterday as well in the streets of Male, calling for action against those MPs who are accused of bribery and corruption.

Lets do it together,
I support Nasheed to become a dictator for 3 months to settle these issues and then we will again change back to MDP democracy.. what do you guys think?
Dear Editor
Should we have the right to recall MPs? It can be done in other countries, why not here in the maldives? I believe it is time we change the electoral law to force MPs to seek vote of confidence through a constituency recall mechanism if they have been found guilty of unacceptable behaviour.
In the light of current pollitical chaos and other ongoing outrages committed by Majlis Members, we demand the right for voters to be given the power to sack MPs by signing a petition to “recall” them.
Please sign the petition for right to recall your Majlis Members for their unacceptable behaviour
