World famous Zakir Naiyk to visit to Maldives

Malé, Maldives: World renowned Islamic Scholar Zakir Naik is scheduled to visit to Maldives, upon an invitation from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The scholar has confirmed to visit the Maldives from 28 to 30 April 2010.
“Zakir Naik will be visiting with his family. In addition to Zakir’s lecture, his wife will deliver a special lecture to the women. His child will also deliver a lecture” said Sheikh Farooq.
He also said opportunity to ask questions will also be provided after the lectures.
Zakir Naik is the President and the Founder of the Islamic Research Foundation, a religious NGO. Mumbai-based peace channel also belong to the Islamic Research Foundation. In addition to being the channel’s most popular presenter he is also the most frequent lecturer in the channel.
Many believe Zakir Naik as the worlds most popular Islamic scholar.
Islamic Ministry has been working to bring him since last year.

Some Muslims are of the opinion that Bible contains bits of authentic texts which can be used to invite Non-Muslims to Islam and this particular style of dawah(invitation to Islam) has become popular because very high profile personalities such as Dr.Zakir Naik has utilised this style and gained massive popularity amongst common people. According to Dr.Naik the Bible prophesises the prophethood of Muhammad. This approach to proving the validity of Muhammad’s(sallalahu alaihi wassallam) Prophethood is extremely problematic and riddled with contraditions.

great news…i advise Maldivian atheists and christian missionaries to attend the lectures…i call upon the great architect behind defaming and silencing islam Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, if he thinks he has guts, to confront Dr. Zakir Naik or his son.
Dr Zakir Naik’s field of da’wah is comparative religion and I dont think he is the most suitable person to give da’wah to a 100% muslim population.specially when the majority of us dont even know the basics and the fundamentals of Islam.nor to differenciate shirk from tawheed.Can it be that sponsors of Dr Naik has other motives other than genuine intention in imparting true da’wah . President Nasheed’s vile suggestion of including teaching other religions in the curriculum of all the schools may have a hand in this . creating awareness in other religions should be done in the light of Islam by people who are well grounded . As for Dr Naik I congratulate him on his achievements n success on his field of da’wah which is more suitable for a multi religion society.
It is very happy to know that world renounce speaker coming to Maldive first time . hope inshallah after his lecture so many changes will come in Maldivian society .and they will more be desire to towards.
