Sheikh Fareed calls for fair judiciary

Sheikh Fareed has called on the judges to be fair when sentencing on the trials.
In a lecture held Friday night at the Artificial Beach on “to whom hellfire is calling?” Sheikh Ibrahim Fareed said that the absence of a fair judiciary would trigger many social illnesses in the society which would result Almighty’s chastisement on us.
Sheikh Fareed also said that statistically speaking only 1 of 3 judges would be able to secure paradise. Fareed also said that some judges are ruling against their conscience despite overwhelming evidences, for the sake of bribes offered.
Sheikh Fareed also said that talking about politics and wasting time is futile than using the time on a productive cause.
The lecture, which was organized by the Islamic Foundation was attended by many and was telecasted live by the Television Maldives.
