If government fails in realizing its pledges, I will do it myself – Moosa

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

MDP’s Parliamentary Group leader Moosa Maniku has said that that he will not let the current government fail on its promises, and if the government fails to realize its pledges, he himself would literally realize the government’s pledges.

Speaking at a MDP meeting held in Lh. Hinnavaru, Moosa Maniku said that if the government does not have the means to purchase the heavy machineries necessary for dredging, reclamation and harbour projects, he himself would do it with his bare hands, to realize the government pledges.

Speaking at the Meeting Moosa also said that MDP will win the presidential election in 2013 as well.

Speaking at the meeting MP for S. Feydhoo, Alhaan Fahumy said that MDP is working to reduce the civil service because that is the only way which would stabilize country’s budget in the long run.

The meeting was attended by the MDP members and supporters in North Province. During the meeting application forms of the new members of the party from the province were delivered to MPs representing the constituencies. MDP said that it had received more than 1000 forms in the meeting.

  2. I don’t think that if the concept of provinces fail government will be able to fulfill its pledges. All pledges are unattainable in real terms, MDP wants it to get realized partly and send the ball to the people’s court. Let’s wait and see if MDP has the guts to fulfill its pledges even the concept of provinces fail….
