Alhaan calls on the resignation of Adhaalath cabinet ministers

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Speaking at an MDP Meeting held in Hulhumale’ Alhaan Fahumy, member of the MDP Parliamentary group has called on the resignation of Adhaalath cabinet ministers, if Adhaalath continues to warn and intimidate the government.

Adhaalath said that lately members of Adhaalathu Party had been warning and attempting to intimidate thegovernment and if they continue to do so, party’s cabinet members should consider resigning from the government. Alhaan also said that that it is a responsibility of the Adhaalathu Party to work with the government as they pledged to do so and that it is a responsibility for them as well.

Although a coalition partner, Adhaalath Party had heavily criticized the government on several issues including the relaxation of relations with Israel and the regulation on the sale of alcohol and pork in inhabited islands. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said that he would have resigned if the government should not have withdrawn the regulation. Since then government had withdrawn the regulation.

During an Adhaalath meeting held last week, all the speakers had criticized the government policies. However, senior officials of the party had also said in the same meeting that the party would render its cooperation to the government as well.

Acting Vice-President of Adhaalath Party, Asim Mohamed had also said that no government would be able to lead the government without the support of Adhaalath, be it current government or the next one.

  2. Without Adaalath this government will survive, as it has been elected by the people. However, it will be a turbulent sea where MDP will have to face the worst of cyclones. Though Alhaan wants Adaalath to adopt government policies as it is, Adaalath has the liberty and wisdom to do otherwise. The unethical government of MDP will learn a good lesson the day Adaalth walks out of the government. Cheers..

  3. “if Adhaalath continues to warn and intimidate the government”. What an understatement for a Parliamentarian to make. Guess this bloke Alhaan is on a “kamikaze mission”. Go on and call for all those who do not supoprt the MDP policies in full or those who question the policies.

Let the message to the Hon. MP Alhaan the “traitor of Feydhoo” be loud and clear. “WE THE PEOPLE OF FEYDHOO CALL FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION WITHOUT ANY DELAY”. Why not answer to us, your constituency regarding your political defection and the events which led to it. We do not believe in you nor have faith in you anymore. Come next term we will “bury you alive” in all the false promises and hopes that you have made. You are not a politicain at all, but the lowest of the lowest scums on the face of the earth. And one more thing, do not go on the TV channels quoting form the Holy Qur’an for it is a book for the beleivers and not for munaafiq’s like you.
