Article Tools
Residents of Hulhumale had demonstrated against the lack specialist doctors at Hulhumale Hospital.
Speaking to TVM, MP for Hulhuhenveiru Moosa Maniku said that he had been receiving the same complaints from the public. However, Moosa said that he had been working very hard to improve the conditions, but said that because of the change in doctors salaries Health Ministry is finding it difficult to recruit doctors.
According to Moosa a voluntary British doctor will arrive later this month. Moosa also said that he is trying to arrange that those specialist doctors who work at the IGMH can also be utilized at Hulhumale Hospital.
Moosa also said that complainants had been sent from the residents on the lack of bus and ferry services during midnight and that he had been trying to solve that problem as well.
