If these people were honest they would not have passed a bill re-instating salaries of commissions. We need to live within our means and stop the culture of printing money and giving worthless high salaries. If anyone wants to be a millionnaire, please go and settle in Indonesia. Every working men and women are millionnaires in Indonesia. To buy an apple, however, you must pay 15,000 Indonesian Rupiah. All the salaries must have been reduced by the same percentage. Majlis members and independent commissions' too must have given up 15% like civil servants and solved our deficit problems. In the mean time Bank of Maldives should collect all the overdue loans from people like Thasmeen and allow the industrious people of Maldives to have a shot at their skills in establishing businesses.
