Alhaan Fahumy to join MDP

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Alhaan Fahumy, MP for S. Feydhoo, who was expelled from DRP for failing to vote in favour of the party position on Foreign Ministers no confidence vote, had implied that he will soon join the ruling MDP.

Speaking on the media, he said that it is quite possible that he may join the MDP. After the no confidence vote Alhaan had voted and spoke in support of the MDP positions.

Alhaan had fought hard to gain support for DRP’s then presidential candidate Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.
