UN begins a training programme on treaty reporting in Maldives

United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights had begun a four day workshop on the treaty reporting under UN’s human rights conventions. The workshop will specially focus on the Common Core Documents and the Convention against Torture and its Optional Protocol. First three days of the workshop would be specialized for the government institutions while the last day would be specialized for the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives and the NGOs. The workshop being held in the STELCO Seminer room is instructed by Juan Athaf, consultant at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
