Next year’s budget aims to increase people’s disposable income –President Nasheed

President Mohamed Nasheed has said that the budget proposed for next year was aimed at increasing people’s disposable income. He made this statement while addressing the people of Baarah, yesterday afternoon.
Highlighting developmental plans of the government, the President said building a harbor in Baarah was a top priority under the government’s population-development consolidation project.
The President also noted that the proliferation of mosquitoes was a huge problem faced by the islanders and the government would soon begin a mosquito control program.
In addition, the President also spoke on the transport system that will begin in Upper North province soon.
