Information on the drug dealer apprehended in Laamu released

Police had released information on the man who was apprehended in Laamu Atoll for being suspected as the one of the largest drug dealers in the atoll, in a press conference held yesterday at Shaheed Hussain Adam Building. Speaking to reporters Sub Inspector of the Drug Enforcement Department’s Investigation Unit, Ahmed Azhaan identified the man as 23 year old Hassan Yoosuf of Mandhooge, L. Gan Mathimaradhoo. The man was apprehended around 1455 hrs and 50 gram of drugs were recovered from the area he was apprehended.
He also said the man had been monitored by the Police for days before the apprehension and Police already has the necessary evidences to lodge a case against him.
