VP meets with the President of Taylors University

Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed has on Thursday met with the President and Vice Chancellor of the Taylors University College of Malaysia, Professor Dato’ Dr Hassan Saeed.

Speaking at the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, the Vice President said a large number of Maldivian students were studying at the College, and noted the College’s contribution to education in the Maldives.

Highlighting the Taylors University College’s decision to provide 30 scholarships to Maldivian students, he said Maldivian students would be able to benefit from this programme.

Dato’ Dr Hassan Saeed briefed the Vice President on programmes planed for the development of the College. He also spoke on the academic programmes run by Taylors University College in collaboration with private education institutions in the Maldives.

The purpose of this visit was to seek information on the investment and human resource development opportunities in the Maldives.
