Swine flu scare closes Children’s Park

Children’s Park in Male’ has been temporarily closed down owing to government’s decision to raise swine flu alert level from 3 to 4 on Tuesday.
The Park which is run by Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) will be opened as soon as the alert level is reduced and in accordance to the direction and advice given to them by concerned authorities.
Further precautions have also been given by Ministry of Health, such as social distancing and avoid making assembly in islands where swine flu has been confirmed. In addition to this, the ministry has also advised people with common cold like symptoms to wear facial mask as a cautionary step.
