In addition to this, some members of the Peoples Majlis as well as other senior officials of the state also were present.

Prince Andrew visited Maldives on 3 December 2008, again on an unofficial visit. In this visit as well, President Nasheed met with Prince Andrew but this time at the President’s Office where they discussed on the ways of strengthening bilateral relations and on possible areas of cooperation between the Maldives and the United Kingdom.
Prince Andrew is the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
