Abdul Raheem Abdul Majeed passes away

Mr Abdul Raheem Abdul Majeed, who had served in the government for over 50 years, passed away on Friday, at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The late Mr Abdul Majeed had held numerous posts at various government offices. He was also a renowned writer and journalist.
He was awarded the Award of Honor in the field of Calligraphy in 1979 and the “Ran’galan” for journalism at the function held to mark the 50th anniversary of journalism in the Maldives.
The late Abdul Raheem Abdul Majeed is survived by six sons and five daughters.
