350 events kicked started yesterday

Events to mark 350 began yesterday in Maldives. Besides the highly publicized underwater cabinet meeting, other events were held by school students from Male and the atolls.
Several students from different schools in Male, Villingilli and Hulhumale formed a huge 350 aerial formation in Henveiru Stadium.
Mohamed Zahir, founder and president of Ecocare Maldives, the organizer of this event, said that besides this, additional events will be held in the days to come. On 24th October, Ecocare will organize a rally and another event is that 350 cars and 350 motor cycles will be grounded for 350 minutes to cut the carbon emissions. Reportedly, President Nasheed and cabinet ministers will participate in this event.
In addition to Ecocare, NGO’s like Maldives Photographers Association is planning to send 350 unique postcards to 350 world leaders and important personalities of the world who will be attending the earth summit to be held in Copenhagen.
Divers Association of Maldives (DAM) will organize a 24 hour Underwater Rally. It will be participated by 350 divers, diving in teams are going to spend 24 hours underwater.
