Increased chances for Victory and VB

Victory Sports Club and VB Sports Club have increased their chances of clinching the Wataniyya Dhivehi League championships by winning the matches they competed on Friday and Friday night. VB won against AYL, 7-0 and Victory Sports won against Valencia, 2-0.
In the match played between VB Sports Club and All Youth Linkage (AYL), VB captain Ali Asfag (Dhagadey) clinched the match by scoring a hat trick. The other four goals were scored by Mohamed Hussain (Oittey), foreign forward Abu, Easa and Niyaz. VB also had several other opportunities to score but failed to convert. AYL was unable to show a good performance against VB.
In the match, played on Friday night, Victory and Valencia met. The met was won by Victory, 2-0. Winning goals were scored by Ibrahim Fazeel (Oppo) and Mohamed Umair. Although Victory won several opportunities, most of them failed to convert due to the fantastic performance of Valencia’s goalkeeper.
Due to the results produced in the matches, VB is now at the top of the league with 34 points and Victory is in the second place with 33 points.
AYL is under heavy pressure to be among the top four. AYL has 2 more matches to play and New Radiant Club is also putting a tough fight to be in the top four clubs.
