President to talk about drug issue in his weekly address this morning

President Office has revealed that President Nasheed in this week’s radio address will talk about the issue of increasing drug abuse in Maldives. The President’s radio address is to be broadcast on the Voice of Maldives early this morning.
As today, 26June, is marked throughout the world as International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, the President will highlight the work being carried out in the Maldives to counter drug trafficking and abuse in the Maldives.
President will also focus on the efforts to upgrade the services of IGM Hospital, as well as on how the measures taken to address the shortage of foreign currency in the Maldives. In addition, the President will also speak on the efforts to reduce government expenditure.
