President Nasheed has said that Lale International Youth School is one of the very first of the new model of schools that the government wanted to have in the country. The President made the statement while speaking at the inauguration of Lale Youth International School in Hulhumale’.
In his speech, the President highlighted the historical relations that existed between the Maldives and Turkey. Speaking in this regard, the President noted that the Maldives and the Turkey shared many similar traits. Further, he said that the Turkey’s experience and knowledge was very important to the Maldives at a time when the Maldives was undergoing a period of democratic consolidation.
Speaking at the function, the President also congratulated all those who had been elected to the People’s Majlis.
“We are very pleased with the results not because any party won or lost. That is just part of the picture.
