Nine doctors sent off by the Indian government had arrived Maldives today.

These doctors were the Indian response to President Nasheed’s call for assistance in doctors as there had been a shortage of them in the Maldives. The doctors would work in 12 atolls and the work would be jointly coordinated by the MNDF and Ministry of Health and Family.
