Maldivian Jihadists captured in Pakistan hits international headlines

The news of seven Maldivian jihadists captured in Pakistan are being reported in the international media. According to the media reports, the news had shocked the world.
“Maldivians are a peace-loving people. They face with their guests with a smile. However, terrorism is setting its home in the Maldives as well. Religious extremism had paved way for the change. This is being organized.”
“Maldivians are not terrorists. They are not religious extremists. However, some people with connections with the black organizations are trying to misinform Maldivian public. However, they would fail big time”.
“Such incidents have come to the attention since 2006 when some people were captured near Pakistan border. Information regarding these incidents is not been available to the public. In this Pakistan’s madharusas plays a key role. Instead of teaching Islamic values, they are teaching values that a contradictory to Islam”.
Those are some of the quotations from the media sources. India’s the Hindu has reported the incident in the front page. The report also referred to Mr. Asif who was captured in Trivandrum in 2005.
According to the reports such incidents would create economic problems as well as problems for Maldivians to travel abroad.
