India’s Chief of Naval Staff calls on Foreign Minister

Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Naval Staff of India Admiral Sureesh Mehta, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Shaheed. The meeting was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Dr. Shaheed and Admiral Sureesh Mehta discussed issues of mutual interest, and exchanged views on ways to enhance the existing close friendly bilateral ties between the two countries.
The call was also attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Naseem, Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, A.K. Pandey and some senior officials from the Indian Navy.
