Committee elected to scrutinize names proposed as Ambassador

People’s Majlis on Monday elected a seven member Majlis adhoc committee to scrutinize the names proposed by the government as Ambassadors to three countries.
The Majlis elected the committee proposed by Laamu member Moosa Manik and supported by Ga member Abdulla Jabir. The committee was elected with 16 members voting in favor.
The committee elected to scrutinize the names proposed by President Nasheed as Ambassadors consists of Hdh member Ahmed Abdulla; Presidential Appointee Mohamed Riyaz; Noonu member Ali Mohamed; Gnaviani member Mohamed Ibrahim Didi; Raa member Shaheed Zaki; Thaa member Hassan Afeef and Kaafu member Maria Ahmed Didi.
The three names proposed as Ambassadors are Dr. Farahanaz Faisal of H. Ameeneege as Maldives Ambassador to Britain; Mohamed Zaki of H. Ahmadhy Aabaadh as Maldives Ambassador to Malaysia and Abdul Azeez Yousuf as Maldives Ambassador to India.
