Man arrested at Kulhudhuffushi with 81 packets of drugs

Maldives Police Service has arrested a man in possession of 81 rubber packets containing drugs.
The man was arrested by Kulhudhuffushi Police Station yesterday evening. The man is 18 year old Mohamed Siraj of H.Dh.Atoll Kulhudhuffushi/ Shiunee Villa. The man was taken into police custody at around 17:30 hours yesterday evening following a tip-off received by police that the drugs were being held by him at Kulhudhuffushi. Police searched his body and found 81 containing what is suspected to be drugs, and he also had 2 mobile phones and 10 emptied rubber packets with him at the time of arrests.
According to Maldives Police Service, they are currently investigating the case.
