President Maummon Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to the President of Austria, Heinz Fischer following the tragic death of Joerg Haider, the Provincial Governor of Carinthia and Leader of the Alliance for Austria’s Future.
In the message the President said that he was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Joerg Haider, the Provincial Governor of Carinthia and Leader of the Alliance for Austria’s Future.
“On this sad occasion of national grief, the Government and the people of the Maldives join me in extending our profound sympathy to you, the Government and the people of Austria. Please also convey our heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family” the message said.
