3 arrested on drug charges in Mahibadhoo

Mahibadhoo Police station of Adh atoll has arrested three people along with 35 packets of suspected drugs.
According to Police the arrested are Ali Shaheed 27 years of Hulhanguge of Gdh Thinadhoo, Ahmed Mubah 22 years of Alihaa of Lh. Naifaru and Ahmed Shiyam 30 years of Ginamaage S. Maradhoofeydhoo.
Police revealed that the3 people were arrested on the 18th of this month on reports by the general public that they were using drugs inside the room where they lived. Police said they found 35 packets of suspected drugs in the room search. Police also said that they found equipments used for drugs abuse.
Police further informed that another person was arrested in H Dh. Kulhudhuffushi after Police stopped him while walking on the road and confiscated 6 packets of suspected drugs from him. He even threw some packets on the road when Police officers approached him, Police said.
The one arrested in this case was Hassan Zahir 33 years of Kaneerumaage of Lh. Lhaimagu. According to Police, they found 2 packets of suspected drugs, equipments used in drugs abuse, a bottle of suspected alcohol, 19 empty rubber packets believed to be used in selling drugs. Police said that they also found 4 packets of suspected drugs inside his wallet.
