President congratulates Malaysian PM

President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of congratulations to the Malaysian Prime Minister, Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Badawi, on his assumption of office for a second consecutive term.

In the message, the President extended warm congratulations and sincere good wishes to Mr. Badawi on his success.

President Gayoom also expressed his confidence that the brotherly relations of friendship and co-operation that existed between the Maldives and Malaysia would further strengthen in the coming years.
