H finds breeding grounds – Department of Public Health (DPH) says that an inspection of 54 construction sites for mosquito breeding grounds has ended. DPH says that mosquito larvae were found in two among the fifty four sites inspected. DPH says that a breeding ground found in MA. Ahiya was asked to be eliminated. DPH is conducting the inspection to prevent mosquito-borne diseases like dengue and chikungunya.
Families decline to receive treated family members – The center that takes care of people requiring special attention says that twenty five that have been treated are waiting for their families to return them home. The center says that the twenty five are ready to integrate into the society. The centre says that as families postpone receiving recovered men and women the available capacity of the center could not be allocated to people who are in the queue. The center is presently taking care of 151 men and women.
Minister Zareer meets counterpart – Zahiya Zareer, Minister of Education, has met her Malaysian counterpart Dato’ Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. She is presently in Malaysia on a private visit. Both ministers discussed how Maldives could train teachers and school administrators in Malaysia with assistance from the country. Malaysian education minister reportedly promised to assist in training Maldivians. Midhath Hilmy, Maldivian High Commissioner in Malaysia, also attended the meeting, say reports.
