Haa Dhaalu Atoll supports parliamentary system – Moosa Manik

Laamu Atoll Member of Parliament and the shadow cabinet minister of the Maldives Democratic Party, MDP has said that the whole Haa Dhaalu Atoll will support the parliamentary system of government when the public referendum takes place on August 18.
Speaking to Miadhu, while campaigning to rally support for the parliamentary system in Kulhudhuffushi, Moosa Manik said that many activists of the party are touring the whole atoll and that with the support they receive, they are confident of winning all votes for a parliamentary system.
He also said that people are becoming more aware of the differences on both systems and a realizing the benefits of a parliamentary system for the people.
Mr. Manik further said that campaigning to rally support for a parliamentary system is not only taking place in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, but also said that the campaign is taking place throughout the whole country.
All political parties registered in the Maldives are rallying support for a presidential form of government while MDP is the only party campaigning to rally support for a parliamentary system.
