Fisheries symposium to help achieve 2020 goals

According to the Ministry of Fisheries Agriculture and Marine Resources, the fisheries symposium starting on Sunday the 5th of May will help achieve the goals of 2020 by accomplishing very important steps which will be achieved once the symposium decides on the main strategy to be followed in the fisheries sector.
The symposium is to start at 12:45 on Monday the 5th of May and will work to identify the best economical use of fishing for the economy and will also formulate strategies for the public to work in partnership with the government to develop fishing.
Two hundred delegates representing all the inhabited islands of will take part in the symposium. The details of the draft copy of the main project will be delivered to the atoll delegates at the symposium which is being run by the technical and financial aid of the World Bank.
Further, the Ministry informs that in addition to discussions about the draft copy, dialogue will also take place about the investors of the zones about the problems occurring in the zones. The symposium is expected to go on till the 9th of May.
